Biography

Jeffrey N. Given, CFA, is a senior managing director and senior portfolio manager at John Hancock Asset Management, responsible for the Bond Fund, Investment Grade Bond Fund, and Government Income Fund. Prior to joining the Portfolio Management team, Jeff was focused on the mortgage-backed securities market at the firm. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. Jeff has made several appearances on Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News, where he has commented on the bond market. He was previously an investment compliance analyst at the firm.

John Iles

John Iles
Biography

John (Jack) F. Iles is a managing director and portfolio manager at John Hancock Asset Management with portfolio manager responsibilities for the High Yield Fund, Income Fund and Strategic Income Opportunities Fund. Previously, he was head of high yield and emerging markets trading fo the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Jack spent approximately 15 years in institutional bond sales specializing in high yield securities at firms including Lehman Brothers, UBS, and ING. Prior to entering the investment business, his experience included managing the financial consulting business in the Boston office of Ernst & Young; and auditing and reporting on SEC clients for Deloitte Touche.
