Biography

Barry Evans, CFA, a senior vice president, is the chief fixed-income officer and chief operating officer at MFC Global Investment Management (U.S.), LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, Mr. Evans oversees the business and administrative duties of the entire fixed-income department. He has been a frequent presenter on the economy and interest rates and been quoted in Barron's and other national publications. Mr. Evans has appeared several times on CNBC to discuss the bond market and the economy. Mr. Evans, who joined John Hancock in 1986, is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds an M.B.A. from Northeastern University. He also lectures on investments and managerial economics at the Graduate School of Business at Northeastern University.

Biography

Jeffrey Given, CFA, is second vice president and a portfolio manager at MFC Global Investment Management (U.S.), LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Given is a trader and analyst of mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities in the fixed-income department. Mr. Given, who joined John Hancock in 1993, was previously an investment analyst and an investment compliance analyst with the company. Mr. Given holds a B.S. in business administration from Boston University and an M.S. in finance from Boston College.

Howard Greene

Howard Greene
Biography

Howard Greene, CFA, is a senior vice president and portfolio manager at MFC Global Investment Management (U.S.), LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. Prior to joining John Hancock in 2002, Mr. Greene worked at Sun Life Financial Services Company of Canada for more than 14 years where he was a senior vice president and managed more than $13 billion in investment-grade and high-yield, fixed-income portfolios. He also worked at Baring America Asset Management as a fixed-income analyst for more than three years. Mr. Greene has been in the investment industry since 1979. He earned a B.S. in business administration from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University. Mr. Greene is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and a past president and director of the Fixed Income Management Society of Boston.
