Roger Hamilton

Biography

Roger Hamilton is a senior vice president and portfolio manager for MFC Global Investment Management (U.S.), LLC. Mr. Hamilton’s areas of expertise include utilities, energy, telecommunications, insurance and basic materials. Before moving to the equity side, Mr. Hamilton was on the management team for the John Hancock Strategic Income Fund and John Hancock High Yield Bond Fund. Previously, Mr. Hamilton was a senior portfolio manager at Transamerica Fund Management Company, which was acquired by John Hancock in December, 1994. He also worked as a portfolio manager at Criterion Investment Management Company and Aramco Services Company, and as a fixed-income trader at Rotan Mosle and PaineWebber. Mr. Hamilton holds a B.A. from Swarthmore College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Timothy Malloy

Timothy Malloy
Biography

Timothy Malloy is a senior vice president and portfolio manager for MFC Global Investment Management (U.S.), LLC. He is responsible for generating ideas, researching companies and constructing portfolios. Prior to joining John Hancock, Mr. Malloy was an investment analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners in Boston. There he was an analyst for a hedge-fund team, analyzing long and short positions in the media, telecommunications and gaming sectors. Earlier in his career, he was an investment analyst at Baring Asset Management in Boston, and covered technology, media and telecommunications companies. Prior to Baring, he held investment analyst roles at Heritage Investments and Pioneer Investments. He has been in the investment management business since 1993. Mr. Malloy earned his B.S. from Catholic University and his M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Boston College.

Jeffrey Given, CFA

Jeffrey Given, CFA
Biography

Jeffrey Given, CFA, is a vice president and portfolio manager for MFC Global Investment Management (U.S.), LLC. Mr. Given specializes in mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities in the fixed-income department. He joined John Hancock in 1993 and was previously an investment analyst and an investment compliance analyst with the company. Mr. Given holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from Boston University and a graduate degree in finance from Boston College.
